Capplebarrow Coach House
A self catering cottage in the heart of the Lake District
Welcome to our Cottage
The Coach House cottage sleeps two guests and sits in a beautiful position in the Longsleddale Valley within the UNESCO World Heritage Lake District National Park. Dating back to 1863, this delightful stone conversion was transformed into a holiday cottage in the 1960s and still retains lots of its former character and charm with exposed beams making lovely features.
Ideal for touring and outdoor activities, The Coach House has much appeal to those who enjoy climbing and walking or those seeking a tranquil place amongst beautiful scenery to simply relax.
Changing very little over the past few hundred years, the valley has farming as its main occupation and sheep can be seen grazing all around. The valley provides a tranquil setting with the River Spring meandering its way through and spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and hills - the perfect backdrop for long walks!
Entirely self-contained, the Coach House sits alongside the main house and has its own patio area and carport. Guests are also welcome to use the main garden.
Whether you are looking for a walking holiday, a relaxing break or want to explore the many attractions of the Lake District, the Coach House provides a welcoming retreat.
The Accomodation

The cottage is tastefully decorated with pictures and ornaments throughout to help provide a home-from-home atmosphere.
