The Longsleddale Valley turning is off the A6, approximately 4 miles north of Kendal or 11.5 miles south of Shap.

Turn off the A6 into the Longsleddale Valley road and follow it for 3.1 miles.

Immediately on the right is the drive to Capplebarrow House. (If you pass the Church you have gone 200 yards too far).

Go up the drive, across the cattle grid, and the cottage is located at the top.

The valley is a single track road with passing places, so please drive carefully.

Please note, there is no mobile phone signal in the valley.
